You have completed MCA degree so you are eligible to do Ph.D. But you must qualify in UGC NET exam.

The educational qualification required for UGC NET exam is masters degree from recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for UGC NET exam.

There is no age criteria for UGC NET exam. But for JRF post, your age should be below 28 years.

Procedure for Ph.D admission:-

1. Qualify in written exam
2. Personal interview (Required journal and conference papers)

For more details of UGC NET exam, click on the below given link

You can also apply through online on given link. Next UGC NET 2014 will be conducted in month of June.

I agree with Biswarup's information. You can do part time Phd but that this you need to undergo entrance exams conducted by universities. You can know about admission procedure at your preferred university to apply for Phd course. Your MCA scores should be at least in first class bracket. Phd has equal importance if done through correspondence or full time.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
