If I do M.Phil from distance education then I will no need to clear any entrance exam for doing PhD? Or I have to give entrance exam for ding PhD?

Those candidates who have completed a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks are eligible to apply for a PhD. Candidates have to sit for an entrance examination and interview for the admission to the PhD program. Those candidates who have qualified NET/SET/GATE are exempted from the entrance examination conducted by the university. The above given is the common admission procedure for PhD in Indian Universities.
