I plan to do a Phd in computer science
as i have interest in research work.
I want to know can i go for Phd
after Msc or i have to clear Mphil???????

No, M.Phil is not essential for getting admission in a Ph.D program. You can get admission straight after M.Sc, if you have got at least 55% marks.

Usually there is an entrance exam conducted for Master's degree holders for admission in a Ph.D program. You can appear for any of those Ph.D entrance exam for getting admission.

If you are a Master's degree holder with NET/SLET score then you can apply for Ph.D admission without appearing for any entrance exam.

Also, those who have a M.Phil qualification can apply for Ph.D admission without appearing for any entrance exam.
