Is there any difficulty in doing PhD in Physics being an Applied Physics postgraduate? Where can I study?

Sir, I have completed my Graduation in Physics. Due to some problems, I could not do PG in it. But I took PG in Applied Physics. I wish to do PhD in Physics. Please give me an advice that where can I do it? If there is any problem for that?

The admission procedure to study PhD in Physics is, candidates must have a post graduate degree with minimum 55%marks from a recognized university.

The duration of this course is 3 years.

Candidates also have to appear in the entrance exam called SET.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
