i like to know about UGC-NET upcoming exam.
if anyone knows,please tell.
and i heard about JOINT CSIR-UGC NET exam.
is both are same? please clarify my doubt

No, CSIR and UGC NET exam are not same.

UGC NET exam is conducted for both LS and JRF posts but CSIR NET is conducted for JRF post only.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for UGC NET and CSIR NET exam. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

Age criteria for UGC NET exam:-

For JRF Post :-Your age should be below 28 years.(Same for CSIR NET)

For Lectureship Post :-There is no age criteria.

UGC NET exam date is not announced yet but it will be announced very soon.

UGC-NET is basically a National Eligibility Test (NET) exam conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC) for those candidates who aspire to acquire a position of lectureship. The Test is conducted in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science. CSIR is for candidates who want to apply for Junior Research Fellowship and lectureship through UGC NET exam.
