Dear Sir,
My this year GATE score was very poor but I want to crack GATE of next year with good marks and I am an average student. So please tell me what I do better this time to prepare for GATE?

It is good to see you aspire for GATE once more after failing in your first attempt. Failure is the stepping stone to success and if you prepare this time properly you can definitely get a good rank in your second attempt. Here are some tips for your preparation.

- First of all, assess yourself what went wrong in your first attempt, try to figure out your weak points.
- Then study those weak areas and get a firm grasp over your weak areas.
- You can also join coaching institutes like MadeEasy, Time, Gate Forum, etc. to get a complete package of well planned preparation.
- Go through the syllabus properly and start from the scratch.
- Study all the topics and practice numerical problems from variety of books.
- Keep a revision daily in your time table and try to increase the effective study hours.
- Practice previous years' questions and build confidence in yourself.
