Mechatronics is a vast and interdisciplinary field. At various universities including the IIT's it is offered at the PG level only.
Robotics Automatio Control Systems Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems Bio - Mechatronics etc. |

1) Robotics engineer/technician. 2) Automation engineer. 3) Control system design/troubleshooting engineer. 4) Electronics design engineer. 5) Mechanical design engineer. 6) Data scientist/big data analyst. 7) Instrumentation engineer. 8) Software engineer. |

The main focus of this field is design and production of automated equipment. Mechatronics can be applied to fields Like nanotechnology/automation/aircraft engineering/ Oceanography, oil and gas, biomedical systems, transportation and computer-aided design etc. You can work in the areas like design/ R and D manufacture/production/safety and quality etc. Your designations may be like systems engineer/application engineer/product development engineer/quality and safety engineer/research and development engineer/project supervisor and managers. You can also work in research organisations and educational institutions. |
