CAT stands for Common Admission Test. It is an all-India entrance test conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM's) for candidates who wish to seek admission in Post-graduation and Fellow Programs in management courses.

Following is the eligibility criteria required to appear for CAT examination as mentioned below :-

1. Candidates must have completed Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline stream with aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST) of marks from a recognised university.

2. Candidates who are appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree / equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed bachelor's degree requirements and awaiting results can also apply for CAT examination. If these candidates are selected, then, they need to submit a certificate latest by 30th June of the year of admission from the Principal/Registrar of College/Institute stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate.

IIM's has not specified anything about the percentage required in Master's Degree course for a candidate to be eligible to appear for CAT examination. And IIM's has specified that the candidate must have secured aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST) of marks in their Bachelor's degree from a recognised university to be eligible to appear for CAT examination.

There is no minimum percentage required in M.Com to appear in CAT. However, you must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university or educational institution.

The eligibility criteria, according to the official CAT notification, is as follows: Minimum of 50% in graduation (45% for SC, ST, and PwD). The university giving the degree must be recognized by MHRD. A candidate holding a professional degree with 50% (45% for SC, ST, and PwD) is also eligible.
