Hi,

I need your help. I got 84% in X and 68% in XII. I am doing my BE computer Science. I had two backlogs but I cleared it.

Am I eligible to get job in any of the IT companies like IBM, TCS.

Will history of backlogs will cause for rejection from these companies??

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT - IT JOBS:

The common eligibility criteria followed by IT companies like IBM and TCS is as follows,

-> 60% above in 10th, 12th and UG/PG degree.

-> Good technical and communication skills.

-> No current backlogs.

Sometimes in some colleges if there too many candidates to be filtered in campus placement then they might have a criteria stating "No history of arrears" in that case you won't be eligible to appear but anyways this is not followed in all colleges. So, make sure you prepare well for the campus placement to get the job.

Yes, you are eligible for TCS, IBM recruitment process.

Required percentage of marks throughout the studies for TCS, IBM are,

TCS=60%
IBM=65%

You should not have any pending backlogs.

Candidates having more than two years gap in throughout the studies are not eligible for TCS, IBM recruitment.

You did not mention your current percentage in BE. Eligibility criteria for IBM and TCS differ in percentage criteria.

For IBM,

You need to have 70% from 10th to graduation and not standing backlogs. You cleared your backlogs, but you have 68% in XII, but not 70%. So, you are not eligible for IBM even if you get 70% in BE.

For TCS,

You need to have 60% from 10th to graduation and also no standing backlogs. Based on the information you provided, if you have 60% in graduation at the time of recruitment, you can appear for recruitment of TCS.

History of backlogs do not cause any problem for recruitment of both of these companies.
