Can IAS Officer do another business after job for earning?
Yeah, definitely you can do another business or family business with your job. There are no restrictions on business after job. But the only problem is that IAS officers usually do not have so much time to look after such businesses. |

No, it is not possible. An IAS officer cannot hold any office of profit other than his post. So, owning a start-up is not possible.

Re: Can IAS Officer do another business after job for earning?
IAS officers are strictly prohibited under government regulations from direct partaking in business for personal interest while serving as a bureaucrat. Conduct rules prohibit IAS officers to engage in any other full-time occupation or even part-time. Besides all this, the inhuman work hours that IAS officers generally have to serve to make it impossible for them to be able to work for any other enterprise. However, a retired IAS officer or serving officer has to leave service to do business.
