You want to serve the nation which is really appreciable..
For become a IAS [INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE] officer, you must have to clear the CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION,conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION [UPSC]. This civil service examination has three stages- 1.CSAT [CIVIL SERVICE ATTITUDE TEST] 2.MAINS 3.INTERVIEW [PERSONALITY TEST] For appear in this civil service examination, you must have at least a graduation degree from a recognized college in any stream. The optional subjects- The examination pattern of CSAT- I don't think there is any need of coaching is required in preparation for this examination. Thank you!! ~gamble~ |

One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university. Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation can also apply for this Exam but they should be able to show the proof of passing in Graduation when they appear for Interview. The required age will be For General Category : 21-30 years. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. Relaxation in upper age limt upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. The nationality of the candidate should be India. As you are pursuing B.Tech course, you can apply for CSAT Exam once you have done with your B.Tech Course.
