It is difficult to get job in telecom sector after B.Tech course. This is because the telecom companies do not prefer to recruit B.Tech freshers, they prefer experienced or higher qualified candidates. However, there are companies which recruit B.Tech candidates but the vacancies are less, so you need to face higher competition. The companies which recruit in Kolkata are :-

- Ericsson India
- BSNL

There are numerous IT companies where you can get job. Even PSUs are present and you can get job in their exchange branch.
