Biju Patnaik University of Technology-MCA 4th Sem-Software Engineering and OOAD Papers are aimed at testing a student’s basic knowledge of the subject, and they include topics like Waterfall life cycle model and its various phases, the COCOMO estimation model and the various parameters it uses, the SRS document and who is responsible for developing it, the differences between and the various meanings of revision and version, the meaning of object persistence, what is meant by Unified Modelling Language, what is meant by Rapid Application Development, what are the various processes of smoke testing, Key Process Areas and so on. Generally short answer type questions are expected from these topics, and longer questions can be asked from topics like iterative waterfall model of software development, numerical based on these models, diagrammatic representation of these models on the answer script, PERT diagrams, function point metric and its advantages and so on.
