Questions can be asked from topics like the different encryption methods, the working of the Hagelin machine with a demonstration, the nature of the security that DES offers, the meaning and concept behind the International Data Encryption Algorithm, the usage of Linear Feedback Shift Registers in Cryptography, how an NP- complete problem can be used for public key cryptography, the details of an RSA algorithm, the various cryptographic protocols etc. The questions are concept based, and the student must be familiar with the fundamentals of the subject along with more nuanced and advanced representations of it.
