The paper consists of one section with ten questions. The candidates are required to attempt four of the ten. All questions carry 20 marks and sub question too carry equal. The marks allotted for sub questions depend on the number of sub questions within a question. Even though the subject is based on both physical and organic chemistry, from the question paper point of view physical portion has to be given more importance. The candidates need to develop the ability to derive equations at a good speed as there are questions in the paper that require them to derive equations.
