The GATE Life sciences paper is of 100 marks. Time given is three hours. The paper carries a total of 100 marks allotted to the 60 questions in the paper. All questions are objective in nature. The first twenty questions in the paper carry one mark each while the remaining ones carry two marks each. There are no questions from outside the syllabus. There is negative marking on the paper. The answers have to be darkened on the separate answer sheet only. Keep the answer sheet as neat as possible. The paper is mainly a speed and accuracy test so you must be quick to answer the questions.
