IETE ALCCS OOPS is a Computer Science course which continues for three years and is almost equivalent to an M. Tech degree. The course is entirely focussed on software management and development programs. Using Java is a sub-part of the course which imparts a thorough knowledge about a particular programming system called JAVA for commercial use. The subject has a theory oriented and an application oriented perspective. So the nature of the exam is also twofold. Using java involves everything from the basic areas to the advanced levels like the basic introduction, data types usable in this, operators and variables, java objects, object-oriented programming, methods, classes, inner classes, abstract classes, control flow and input-output streams, introduction to the role of threads, serialization, annotations, generics, reflections, exception management, collection framework, java packages, inheritances, interfaces and communication patterns. These concepts are used in proper programming and coding in the field of software development.
