The Microelectronics paper will be divided according to the different topics that will be covered. Essentially there will be questions on integrated circuit technology where there will be specific topics like classification of integrated circuits, planar processes, monolithic technology, hybrid integrated circuits, ion implantation technology, and other such related concepts. There will also be questions based on differential and cascade amplifiers. These will include balanced and unbalanced output. There will be level translators, cascade configuration of amplifiers and current mirror questions as well. The paper will consist of operational amplifiers which will have questions on the introductory features, characteristics, practical op-amp and its equivalent circuit. It is advised to the students to read up on books like Op-amp & Linear Integrated Circuits by Ramakant A. Gayakward and Integrated Circuits by K. R. Botkar. He or she can also refer to Linear Integrated Circuits by D. R. Chaudhary. These books will help in attempting the varied questions of this paper.
