This paper will largely deal with sociology as a discipline and contain questions related to the social institutions existing in society. There will be questions based on various perspectives such as functionalist conflict, interpretative and critical outlook for specific issues. There will also be topics such as the significance of social institutions, and the different emerging social institutions as well. Along with this, there will also be questions that deal particularly with society and culture and the students’ understanding of the different types of available types, components as well as global culture. Specific questions on social institutions will also be present which will include social stratifications, its basis, the religious institutions, political institutions and economic institutions. Socialization is also important and there will be relevant questions on socialization as a process, as an agency, as gender and political constructs and also an alternative re-socialization. The syllabus is extensive and the questions will be set accordingly. Below are attached some of the previous year’s question papers.
