UPSC Mains Persian Paper I consist of 8 questions in it and the questions are separated in two parts equally. There are only 5 questions required to be solved. Every question is of same marks. Each question is divided into sub-questions of 2-4. 1st question in each group is compulsory to be solves and rest 3 are to be selected from remaining 6 questions. The paper is an optional subject in the mains paper of UPSC. Total marks associated with the paper are 300 and time given to solve the paper is 3 hours.
