My daughter's Birthdate is 2-10-2016..Currently she is in senior kg in cbse school in Gujarat..Is she eligible for class 1 in year 2022-23?

As per the guidlines of central board of secondary education (CBSE) , a student of Class 1 must be at least 6 years old as of March 31 of that particular academic year and should not be more than 8 years old on March 31.

The minimum age criteria is required for the admission in the first standard of CBSE board school is 5 years old at a time of admission.

2. KG's do not play any role to get admission in 1st class.

The candidate should be a minimum of 6 years old as of 31st march of 2022 to get admission in class first. The candidate should not be above 8 years old to get admission first class. The candidate does not any other thing to get admission to get admission in class 1st.

According to the guidelines of the CBSC board, the student's age should be 6 years old and more as of the 31st March of the relevant year but not more than 8 years old as of the 31st March of the relevant year in order to be admitted to the class 1.

The age limit criteria varies with state as it is the sole discretion of Directorate of State Education to decides the age limit criteria.

So, you can visit the concerned office or the department for the detail information. CBSE has not released any notification with respect to the age limit criteria for admission in CBSE affiliated schools.

KVS admissions 2022-23 says that a student of Class 1 must be at least 6 years old as of March 31 of that particular academic year and should not be more than 8 years old on March.

The age criteria for admission in class 1 in the year 2022-2023 in CBSE as per the guidelines is 6 years or more. According to the new education policy and also the Ministry of Women and Child Development's policy for earlier childhood care the minimum age criteria for Class I admission of a child is six years instead of five years.
