Respected Sir,
I am a OBC candidate and I have scored only 49.4% in my 12th ISC. I have also given JEE Main and got 42537 rank in it. I want to know with this percentage I am eligible to sit in the counselling? |

Yes, you are eligible to attend counselling if you have secured 42537 rank in JEE Main examination being a OBC candidate. Candidates who have qualified and secured rank in JEE Main examination are eligible to participate in JEE Main counselling. Since, you have not scored not an aggregate of 75% marks in your 12th standard board examinations, you are not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination but, you are eligible to participate in JEE Main counselling.

Counselling only depends on your rank of JEE Main, no one will going to ask your 12th percentage. 12th class marks only effect you ranking of JEE Main but for the counselling your rank is only required. |

Yes you are eligible to sit in online counselling. Being an OBC candidate you have advantage over general category candidate. As some seats are reserved for OBC candidates in every engineering college either it is a govt institution or it is a private institution. With this rank you can compete in counselling for seat in college.
First of all register yourself on online counselling website. After that you need to fill your choices like colleges and trade in which you want to get admission. After result of counselling if you get seat then simply claim your admission in college campus. If you didn't get seat then wait for 2nd or 3rd counselling. Seat allocated to students according to rank scored in JEE Exam. |
