Answer of following Coordinate geometry question?


Coordinate geometry of the JEE Mains please solve for me...
Point p(5,-3) is one of the two points of trisection of line segment joining the points (7,-2) and (1,-5) near to the first point. Find the coordinates of the other point of trisection.

Solution to the above problem :

Consider, A(7,-2) P(5,-3) Q(x,y) B(1,-5)

AP = PQ = QB
=> Q is the mid-point of PB.

=> Coordinates of Q are

Q (5+1 /2 , -3 -5 /2)

Q (3,-4)

2x-y k=0
