Re: Can a diploma holder give JEE main and advanced?
Yes, diploma in engineering candidates can apply for JEE main and advanced. Admission will be only in first year of B.Tech and you won't get any benefit of diploma qualification. Hence, you can surely apply for it.
IITs and NITs offer B.Tech admission through JEE and only first year admission is possible through it. Therefore, if you are not interested in lateral entry admission in 2nd year, then surely you can apply for JEE main and advanced. |

Re: Can a diploma holder give JEE main and advanced?
Yes, being a Diploma holder, you are eligible to appear in JEE Main and Advanced examination. But, remember that your JEE Main examination rank or score will not be declared as you are allowed to appear in JEE Main examination as it is a gateway for JEE Advanced examination. You can't get admission in NIT on basis of JEE Main examination rank being a Diploma holder. So, you are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination for taking admission in IIT.

Re: Can a diploma holder give JEE main and advanced?
No, I am sorry to say that you cannot opt for JEE(Main & Advanced) examination after completion of your Diploma as you need to have studied +2 level of standard in order to opt for the above mentioned examination. However, if you want top opt for B.Tech further, you should go for LEET examination and then after clearing your examination you will be getting admission in direct 2nd year of B.Tech degree in a reputed college, depending upon your LEET score.

Re: Can a diploma holder give JEE main and advanced?
I am sorry to say that you cannot apply for JEE Main and Advanced examinations on the basis of your Diploma course as you are not eligible for it.
Candidates those who have completed their class 12th with Science stream studying Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as a subject from a recognised Board with a minimum of 50% of marks in it are only eligible to apply for the JEE Main and Advanced examinations. Diploma candidates are not eligible to take admission in IITs and NITs based on the diploma qualification. |

Quote:
If you have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics with above 50% marks or diploma course from a recognized institution then you are eligible for JEE Main and Advanced. 5% marks relaxation is provided for SC/ST category candidates. |
