im a 15 year old girl and im in the 10th grade and im very interested in
joining the army. Can i join the army after i finish my 10th?

Sorry girls can join Indian Army only after completion of Graduation. There is no entry for girls in Indian Army after 10th or 10+2. Hence, you have to complete Graduation and then you will be eligible for CDS exam which is conducted by UPSC.

CDS Exam is a Combined Defence Services exam conducted by UPSC two times in a year and only Graduates can apply for it. The age limit for CDS exam is given below for different academies.

1. Indian Naval Academy : 19 to 22 years
2. Indian Air Force Academy : 19 to 23 years
3. Indian Military Academy : 19 to 24 years
4. Officers Training Academy : 19 to 25 years

Please note that if you want to join Air Force and Navel academy, then you must have studied Physics and Maths in your Graduation.

The selection is based on the marks you get in the following stages. Those on merit will be selected for respective academy.

1. Written Exam
2. SSB Interview
3. Medical Examination
