Dear Sir/Madam, my son is studying in 10th standard from Tamil Nadu Board. I don’t want to continue his HS schooling with Tamil Nadu Board. Instead, I am thinking to admit him in any CBSE affiliated school. So, I would like to know that which Board is better for Higher Secondary Science admission?

There is no better board and it all depends on the school where you are studying. There are good schools and bad schools in every board. Hence, take your decision based on the school track record.

Most of the students opt for CBSE, because most of the schools affiliated to CBSE have a good track record in terms of pass percentage. Hence, take your decision based on your observation.

Both CBSE and Tamilnadu State Board are good boards to study Higher Secondary Science. If a student wishes to join IITs/NITs then he/she can join and study in CBSE board or else he/she can study Tamilnadu State Board itself. The CBSE syllabus matches with JEE Mains and it helps students to clear the JEE. Tamilnadu State Board is also a good board and students studied in Tamilnadu State Board also reached higher positions in life. Therefore, the higher secondary science aspirant can study in the Tamilnadu State Board itself.
