Re: Details of the subjects which are included in NCERT syllabus and is there any book for E.V.S.?
It is not true that NCERT only publishes books of Mathematics, Hindi and English.
NCERT stands for National Council of Education Research and Training. Its main duty is to assist and advice central and state governments to improve school education. Following are the subject on which NCERT publish books for students up to secondary education -Mathematics -English -Science -Social Science(History, Geography, Civics, Economics) -Hindi -Sanskrit -Urdu Maths, science and social science books are published not only in English language but also in Hindi and Urdu language. It has not been made mandatory to use NCERT books in private schools yet but it will be done soon and might be effective from upcoming session. |

Re: Details of the subjects which are included in NCERT syllabus and is there any book for E.V.S.?
The NCERT or National Council of Education and Training is a board whose job is to to assist and advise the government on academic related to school education.
The school are instructed to follow NCERT syllabus but it is not mandatory to use only NECRT books. Books which are follows NCERT syllabus are allowed. Many publishers follows NCERT syllabus. At secondary school level the books provided by NCERT are also provided by a lot of other publishers. You can select any book you want but it must follow NCERT syllabus. Yes it is true that the supreme court has also given instruction to government and universities to include EVS as a compulsary syllabus in Undergrad, and upper degree level, but not for secondary schools. EVS book: Environmental Studies by E. Bharucha is most famous in India. |
