How can I become a CID Officer being an Intermediate Humanities student?
Hello Sir, I am studying in Intermediate Humanities. I am interested to join Investigation Service. I want to become a CID Officer. Kindly inform me about the recruitment and tell me the procedure to become a CID Officer?

--- To join CID, a candidate must have done graduation in any stream from a recognised University.
A candidate who has already completed graduation can join this department as a sub inspector. There are many universities in India that offer degrees in criminology and criminal justice at the graduation level which may be helpful to join CID. Minimum age is 20 years and maximum is 27 years however relaxation of 5 years is provided to SC/ ST candidates and 3 years to OBC candidates. Minimum height of male should be 165 cm and for female it should be 150 cm. Selection is done through written test, physical test and interview. |

Eligibility:-
Educational qualification:- The candidate should have passed 12th with arts or Science. But if candidate is interested in joining a higher level, than Candidate should complete graduation in any stream from a recognised University. He/ she can apply for the UPSC exam on the above post in the CID department. Age limit:- 5 years for SC/ST categories.( 20 years to 27 years). 3 years for OBC categories. ( 20 years to 30 years). Physical requirement:- for men - 16.5cms. For women - 150cms. Chest - 76cms with expansion Eye Sight:- Distant Vision - 6/6 in one and 6/9 other eye. Attempts:- For general category - 4 attempts For SC/ ST category - No limit For OBC category - 7 attempts. Selection procedure:- Written Test Physical Test Interview. |

Procedure to become a CID Officer being an Intermediate Humanities student is given below.
1. Complete your intermediate with minimum aggregate of 60:. 2. Go for graduation in any specialization. 3. After completing your graduation you have to go for UPSC exam. 4. Clear UPSC exam with good score. 5. Make CID officer post your first choice. 6. Clear UPSC interview to become CID officer. |
