Hello sir, Recently I have passed 10th standard exam from ICSE board and want to take Commerce stream in 11th for CA preparation? Please tell me is Mathematics is important subject to study CA course?

1. CA stands for Chartered Accountancy course. Mathematics is compulsory subject for Chartered Accountancy course. The first stage is Common Proficiency Test and there is quantitative aptitude paper of 50 marks and is essential to clear it.

2. You must study mathematics in 11th as it will help you in Chartered Accountancy various courses and its further stages like IPCC and final stage. CA is course which involves lots of calculation and knowledge of mathematics is compulsory at least upto standard 12th is necessary.

Yes, you should have studied mathematics at your +2 level of education in order to get admission in CA course as it is the minimum eligibility criteria in order to opt for CA course. Other than that i am sorry to say that you cannot opt for the above mentioned course.
