My son date of birth 04-05-2017, he has speech problem by hereditary late speaking ..Is it possible to go next year for admission for lkg, he will be 4 years 10 months for lkg admission plz help me

Maximum permissible age for admission in LKG:-

For LKG admission, age should be between 3-6 to 4-6 years.

Maximum board such as CBSE, ICSE and other state boards follow this age criteria only.

Maximum permissible age for admission in LKG:-

Admission age ranges from 2 years 6 months to 3 years 10 months depending on the school.
For lower kindergarten (LKG ), the range is from three years and a half years to four years ten months.

The maximum age limit for admission in the LKG class is 4 years 10 months as on 1st June of the respective year.

There is no minimum or maximum age limit to get admission in any class as per the recognised board. It is the sole responsibility of the directorate of state education to decide the age criteria.

So, kindly visit the concerned department to get the detail information regarding it in your state/UT.

The maximum permissible age for admission in LKG is 5 years as of 31st March. As per DoE(Directorate of Education) LKG admission age is 4 plus years as of 31st March 2021. The DoE also provides relaxation of one year in the upper age limit for children with special needs/disabled children category for admission in CBSE schools. In ICSE schools the age of a student for LKG must be in-between 3 - 4 years at the time of admission.

Students age must be atleast 3 to 5 year for admission in LKG. but it's not a rule .
