Is it necessary to score above 60% marks PCB and English to appear for AIIMS?
Is it necessary to score above or equivalent to 60% in all, physics, chemistry, bio & English? If I'm scoring 75% in each except physics, then can I apply for AIIMS?

Re: Is it necessary to score above 60% marks PCB and English to appear for AIIMS?
It is not necessary to score 60% marks individually in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, instead, 60% aggregate marks in the said subjects is required. So, if the total aggregate percentage of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English is 60% and above, then you are eligible to appear for AIIMS examination.
Following are the eligibility criteria for AIIMS examination: >A candidate must be an Indian citizen >Candidate should have qualified 12th standard or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English an mandatory subjects from a recognized board. >Candidate should have scored at least 60% marks in the aggregate of aforesaid subjects. >There is a 10% marks relaxation for the candidate belonging from SC/ST/OPH categories. >Age of the candidate should not be less than 17 years. |

Re: Is it necessary to score above 60% marks PCB and English to appear for AIIMS?
AIIMS refers to All Indian Institute of Medical Science and same is regarded as the best medical college of India which offers admission in various medical degree courses.
As far as you are concerned about the requirement of 60% marks in PCB and English in Class 12th for appearing in AIIMS MBBS entrance examination for pursuing MBBS from AIIMS then for your information I would like to let you know that it is certainly required. Further there is provision of marks relaxation upto 10% for reserved category candidates. Now as you have mentioned that you have managed to secure more that 75% marks in English, Chemistry and Biology each but have managed to secure less than 75% marks in Physics then for your information I would like to let you know that you are eligible for same examination only if you have managed 60% marks in Physics otherwise not. For more details regarding AIIMS MBBS entrance examination you can refer to the link www.aiimsexams.org. |

Quote:
Candidates who have completed 12th standard with above 50% marks are eligible for AIIMS exam but your 12th standard subject are Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. For SC/ST candidates this percentage is reduced to 40%. Your age should be in between 17 to 26 years. |
