My daughter born on 6th October 2019. As of now she is 2 years and 3 months old. I want to get her admitted in nursery this year. So can you please tell me about the age criteria for admission in CBSE schools under LKG and Nursery?

The age criteria for Nursery and LKG Class:-

The minimum age required to get admission in any CBSE school and other school to nursery class is 2 years and 3 years to LKG.

But this criteria change from school to school.

As per the directive from the Federal Government of UAE minimum age for admission in LKG will be 4 years.

The age criteria for Nursery and LKG Class:-

You should take the admission for nursery is 3 years and 4 years for LKG in CBSE schools in all over India.

So according to age you should take the admission.

The age criteria for the Nursery and LKG Classes are given below.

--> Nursery - The age should be 2 - 3 years as of 31st March of the academic session.
--> LKG - The age should be 3 - 4 years as of 31st March of the academic session.
--> UKG - The age should be 4 - 5 years as of 31st March of the academic session.
--> Class I - The age should be 5 - 6 years as of 31st March of the academic session.

The age of the student should be between 3 years to 4 years to get admission in LKG and Nursery under CBSE Schools.

°°° According to the earlier RTE rules of 2014 and 2015, the age limit for admission in nursery level should be between 2 years and 6 months and 3 years and 6 months and for admission to LKG class, age should be between 3.5 and 4.5 years and for class 1 age should be between 5.5 and 6.5 years.
But according to the revised rules child must have completed 3 years and 10 months for admission in LKG class and 5 years and 10 months for class 1 as on 1st June of the academic year of admission.
But it also depends upon the school's rules and regulations so, it would be better if you consult the school where you want to seek admission.

According to the DoE rules, the upper age limit as of March 31, 2021, for admission in nursery and kindergarten (KG) is four and five years respectively.

The minimum age for admission in these classes is three, and four respectively.

My son was born on July 2020. By Jun 2023 he will be 2.10 years. Can I take admission for Nursery in 2023-24 In Karnataka Bangalore?
