The minimum age limit for admission to Long and First Standard in India is 6 years.

This means that the child must have been born on or before March 31st of the year in which they are applying for admission.

Some schools may require that children be at least 6 years and 6 months old before they can be admitted to L or I Standard.

The minimum age limit for first standard is 5 years. You can have the date of birth before 5 years from any identity proof. You can get admission in the basis of that identity proof.
