IBPS Exam contains following sections:
  • Reasoning
  • English Language
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry)
  • Computer Knowledge
  • English Composition (Essay, Letter Writing, etc.)

If you are going to appear for IBPS IT Specialist Officer, then Professional section will contain questions from these sections:
  • DBMS – 15
  • Data Communication & Networking – 10 to 15
  • Computer Organization & Structure – 5 to 6
  • Data Structure & Compiler Design – 3 to 4
  • Operating systems – 4 to 5
  • Software Engineering – 2 to 3
  • Internet Awareness – 1 to 2

It is an important section of the exam as it contains about 50 questions of 75 marks.

And most of the questions belong to DBMS.
