Sir, Is it necessary to appear for JEE (Advance) for admission to B Tech in NIT Calicut.

Yes, you need to qualify in the JEE examination to get the admission in the NIT. JEE stands for the Joint Entrance Examination and the examination is conducted by the CBSE every year.

The examination is conducted to get the admission in the different government and the private institute for the technical course. The examination is conducted in the two stages as the Mains and the Advance.

The candidate who qualifies in the Mains are only eligible for the Advance examination.
The candidate after qualifying in the Mains are eligible for the admission in the NIT but the final score card for the JEE Mains is prepared in taking the consideration of the board marks and the JEE Main score.

After qualifying in the Mains candidate are eligible for the Advance and after final selection eligible for the admission in the IIT.
