CBI stands for Central Bureau of Investigation .

To join CBI you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.

Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for CBI exam.

No , Diploma candidate are not applicable for CBI Exam

Age criteria :-

(i) Assistant Grade & Sub Inspectors in CBI –
Age between 20 - 27 years.
(ii) Inspectors of CE / IT & Divisional Accountants/Auditors/ UDCs –
Age between 18 - 27 years.
(iii) Sub Inspectors in Central Police Forces –
Age between 20 and 25 years.

Selection Process for CBI Exam :-

Preliminary Exam (Tier I).
Mains Exam (Tier II).
Interview.
Medical Test.

Pattern for CBI Exam:-

a. Part I - Written Examination carrying: 400 marks

i. General Test
ii. General Intelligence and Reasoning
iii. General Awareness
iv. Numerical Ability

b. Part II - Personality Test (Interview): 100 marks.

i. English Language
ii. Language Comprehension
iii. Communication / Writing
iv. Ability Test

No need of percentage restrictions.

Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Age criteria:-

The age limits of the applicant should be in between 20 years to 27 years,

Three years upper age relaxation is given to OBC candidates,

Five years upper age relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates.

Selection process:-

Preliminary exam(Tier-I),

Mains exam(Tier-II),

Personal Interview,

Medical test.
