Should I apply for IBPS IT officer scale-1 or scale-II?


Hi all,

I am going to apply for IBPS It officer exam for IT officer post, but I am confused between scale I and scale II. I will be completing 2 years of experience in this month only. Should I apply for scale I or scale II?

IBPS Stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection and the organization is conducted various examinations in Once in year and they are Probationary Officer , Clerical Officer , RRB Officer examination and Specialist Officer. Some Other Recruitment may have done in the IBPS based on the needs.

Banking sector is popular one and it is growing very well and there is a plenty opportunities available for all the sector candidates. Every year lakhs of candidates apply for different positions in Banking Sector.

This year IBPS Specialist Officer Notification has been released. Last Date for Receipt of application on 14 December 2013. If you are missed that opportunity than don't worry next announcement will be published in the month of November or December in the official website of IBPS as well as Employment news paper.

As per my knowledge you are eligible to apply for IT Officer Scale I because you didn't complete your two years on experience in IT Field so you are not eligible to apply for IT Officer Scale II.

I.T Officer (Scale-I) : You should have a completed Full time regular bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized University OR Post Graduate degree from a recognized University may also eligible to apply.

Your age should be between 20 years to 30 years at the time of appearing for this examination and Upper age limits is applicable as per Government Rules.

I.T Officer (Scale-II) : You should have a completed Full time regular bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized University OR Post Graduate degree from a recognized University may also eligible to apply with minimum 2 years experience in IT field.

Your age should between 20 years to 35 years at the time of appearing for this examination and Upper age limits is applicable as per Government Rules.

The Exam fees for IBPS examination is Rs.600/ for all candidates and Rs.100/- for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Person with Disabilities.

Applicant may pay their fees through online basis in any one of the following method Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking. Offline payment can be done through challan and it will be generated at the time of filling application forms.

The Recruitment Process for IBPS Specialist Officer is based on Written Examination, Group Discussion as well as Personal Interview.
