i have completed BCA with 64% from guru nanak dev university Amritsar(Punjab)and now i m at confusing state that can i do MCA regular or correspondence........................can IGNOU be best for correspondance.................................... ..........and does it have same value........................plzzzzzzzz tell me. i am just just waiting for ur response.

I would like to suggest you to have MCA from anyof NITs...Exam is NIMCET ..Which is having a good pattern of exam ..Every year exam is held in mid of MAY..You can prepare for the same in 5-6 months if you are conscious and hardworker as well...Once you have NIT tag then You can reign over world....

IIT MCA has limited seats...NITs have around 900 seatsoverall INDIA in Approx 12 NITs....So i would prefer You for NITs...

But still you wanna go for IGNOU then i will add one thing about it that the course curricullam is one of the best one among All MCA colleges...By this you may also have a great world of knowledge...Once you have Knowledge you will be like all other IT scholars........

If you are planning to do MCA @ IGNOU through correspondence, then pl. contact any nearest Study Centre (List of Study Centres can be found @ IGNOU's web site.

Quality of the syllabus is 'A' class @ IGNOU than any other correspondence course from any other university in India (Infact far more superior than many regular college syllabus), but a little bit tougher too.. You need to put extra effort to even clear, and extradinery effort to score...

Doing study with correspondence course you will not trained well in practical .

I would like to suggest you to do MCA in regular basis rather than correspondence, more jobs options in mca in reqular than corespondence in IT and Government field.

I am working as a PHP developer I have completed BCA in 2010 now I want to do MCA regular but there will be a gap of 4yrs would it be better to go for MCA regular as I already have work experience.

You can choose any option i.e regular or correspondence as if you find good job then you can go for correspondence or otherwise you can opt regualar..

Both options are good you can opt according to your interest.

What's the difference between completing MCA through correspondence to that of completing it in regular?

Both are virtually same. But in reality it is not. Wherever you go for job opportunities, regular students get priority. Only a few companies (mostly foreign MNC's) don't mind about the mode of education. But vast majority of organizations (Infy, TCS, etc) won't take correspondence students at all (irrespective of their score, experience etc). For M.E/M.Tech in Anna university (Tamilnadu), they won't take MCA guys from correspondence.

Thumb rule is, if u have opportunity to choose regular, do it in regular. For economy, age and other constraints, then u may look for correspondence, and in that case do remember about the previously said points. Try to score well, and work hard in either case.
