Having NCC (National Cadet Corps) Certificate is definitely beneficial for one who is seeking career in Armed forces

Few posts will be reserved for NCC 'C' Certificate holders in certain notifications. That is not discrimination, but as the persons who are already NCC 'C' certificate holders knows better about rules and regulations and will require minimum grooming when compared non NCC certificate holders.

NCC 'C' has higher priority and weight-age when compared to 'B' and 'A' because of simple reason that your association with NCC will be visible with the help of NCC exams you take.

No there will be no direct entry into armed forces for any NCC certificate holder as such. There will be preference to you if you have a valid 'C' certificate from NCC but they will follow their due selection process which sometimes seems rigorous. But it is worth it.

In exams conducted by UPSC for CDS or by Independent exams held by various wings (Army, Naval, Airforce) certain percentage of vacancies will be reserved for NCC 'C' certificate applicants. They will have slight advantage over general applicants.

For example say if a notification from UPSC says it is going to recruit 100 for Army, 200 for Navy, 300 for Air Force. Then there may be 10% of vacancies reserved for NCC 'C' certificate holders in each of the wings.

Even if you don't have any of them also you need not worry, you will have fair chance to get selected in General category pool. Having it is beneficial, not having it is fine. Just prepare well for various stages of selection. Follow the process. You'll Succeed.
