you can join in indian Army in three ways.

1.through UES. which exam you can appear in the final year of your btech.

2.through TES.which exam you can appear in the final year of your btech.

3.through UPSC exam. which exam you can appear after doing your btech.

your opinion not so bad,but you B.tech student form ECE then after B.tech you can do m.tech after qualifying like GATE exam you can also do MBA by qualifying CAT ,or MAT, like this exam

if you want to read no more the you can do job like software companies........

otherwise you related companies like BSNL,AIRTEL............

i dnt think dat d idea u r giving is rite...joining d army duz nt mean u wont b using ur knwldge...an engineer in d army is not involved in d war all d tym...smthn dat ppl dnt knw...u'l b thr as a communication engr...i cn say dat coz my father was also in d same regiment...joining d army is a nobel profession...n i suggest dat if u hav applied u must go 4 it...all d bst...

Absolutely you can get into army... it will be a GOOD OPPORTUNITY to serve the country.
Regarding Future ... i tell you, you will get MONEY as well as NAME/FAME/STATUS.

I really appreciate your move to join the indian army and it is truly a step in the right direction.
As you see that being an army officer is a really respectable job and you will have an opportunity to use your abilities to the best of its potential, because being in army is not only about war or weapons, the extra-curricular activities such as sports, music, drama and outdoor activities such as mountaineering, wall climbing, trecking are equally promoted.
Further more you will be given stipend during your training which will be on govt expense and a good salary along with other allowances such free medical facilities, canteen facilities, free messing , furnished accommodation, etc.
Now you tell me the name of any private organisation who will provide you with all these things if you choose to work with them?
So go ahead lead a respectable and comfortable life ahead.

I cannot say what is best for you since i don't know much about you.

If you are not interested in Defense service , then you can go for
either M.Tech or MBA.

Hello Friend,

For UES entry you will be given permanent commission and here are the details...

1. Training
Your training will be done in Indian Military Academy(IMA) at Dehradun for one year after that you will be given PC and become 2nd Lieutenant. The entire cost of your training will be borne by the army including you clothing, stay,travel, food and messing

2. Pay Bands

Lieutenant to Major - 15600 to 39100
Lt. Colonel to Lt. General - 37400 to 67000
Vice Chief of army staff - 80000
Chief of Army Staff - 90000

3. As far as the posting is considered, initially you will be posted in active military areas like workshops etc. and then as per the decision of indian army

you can join indian army by writing UPSC exam after your b.tech, or if you were a ncc cadet during your college , then you dont have to write the written exam since there is a quota for ncc cadets in army.
