i done B.A. from computer application this year. i am doing PGDCA. what is the profit of PGDCA in MCA.

Hi,

There is nothing to talk about profit between courses. Both these courses are unique in their perspective.

They totally differ in their final perspective and goal. You will be in management sector in Computer applications field. You will be taken into managerial or administrational processes. But, MCA'ian will be into core processes and onfloor production. You will carry out actual scenario of getting the final solution in the production floor.
That's it.

You didnt write any thing about what you want do after PGDCA.
But if you ask for PGDCA then yeah there is benifits of PGDCA in MCA.
Different university have their own criteria but many university give lateral entry to the students who have done PGDCA.
So, Without any doubt complete your PGDCA and then try in any university for lateral entry scheme in MCA.
I give one example like sikkim manipal university distance education give lateral entry to the student having PGDCA direct in second or third semester.
And the PGDCA syllabus is similar to I & II sem of MCA in SMUDE.
So, its a great benifit to you.
Its good to join MCA course.
After some exprience you will earn better pay scale.

Once u have done BCA u should have gone for MCA OR MBA, bt as u are pursuing PGDCA it will add to your knowledge and qualification.
PGDCA provides you a PG diploma. U can get job after completing it upto 1000-15000, so for secure future do MCAor MBA

Hello friend,

After doing B.A in computer application you can do the MCA course if you had maths in 10(+2) level.

Now, you have not cleared if you were having maths in graduation or not. So i think a PGDCA is also a good career option after B.A.

You can join in leading software companies as software developer, executive trainee, database designer etc.

Also there are chances to indulge in the academic profession like joining as a lecturer in Govt or private institutions offering courses on computer application.

So it is really a beneficial course that you can opt for. Definitely,you can go for it....

Can I do MCA after doing PGDCA in distance because I had not math in h.s or B.a and I had 41% mark in graduation???

since you have scored less marks in past you cannot improve it in futureso it would be better for you if you do pgdca in regualar mode with full interest and hard work so that you don,t scor less here also and could give your career right path.aslso pgdca is a practical subjject so doing it in distance mode will only be usefull as degree not knowledeg

hello dear,, have you ever heard that spices add great taste in food similarly any course never brings profit and loss but add knowledge and skill in your study material...
well you are persuing PGDC which is a diploma degree... sp dont worry when you do MCA in your near future then it will help you to understand it more claerly..the good thing is that you have already did B.A in computer application so not a big deal go an d study it properly it will really gonna help you..if you willl do MCA from any distance course like sikkim manipal university you dont have to go for three years for copleting MCA as they take admission in lateral entry you are benefited in 2 years although if you have it twice doesnt matter....because knowledge never go waste..

MCA is much more than PGDCA.
With MCA you have much knowledge regarding all fields of software engineering.

Comparing with MCA PGDCA is a very small course.

Both the courses are totally different from each other.
As far as PGDCA is concerned it is mostly 1-2 years course whose importace is less as compared to MCA.
IGNOU, Sikkim Manipal University etc take students directly who have done PGDCA/It for MCA in 2nd year. For additional qualification you can add up your qualification by doing advance computing/oracle9i/SOL Server and C# etc can be done.Admission in MCA is based on entrance exam

You could get little bene from pgdca in particular sector but after doing pgdca your confidence must increase but your institute must be a grade

BA with computers is not professional course, has no demand in market, you can work as assistant or at lower level, level of responsibility for you shall be less than what you can expect except in case you start your own business.

PGDCA followed by MCA would make you eligible for responsibility assignments and even in your own business, you shall have the confidence of commanding as expert.

Obviously, it is PG Course and knowledge shall definitely increase than what you have at present.
