Information Regarding GATE Examination.

GATE examination is conducted by the management of IIT college for the admission in the M.Tech course in the IIT college. Many other college also take admission in the M.Tech course through the GATE score card. To appear in the GATE examination you need the following eligibility criteria.

Educational Qualification = Bachelor degree in the field of engineering/Technology. The final and pre-final year candidates are also eligible to appear in the GATE examination.

NOTE :- There are no age limit and no. of attempt for the GATE examination. So, you can appear in the GATE examination at any age and many times according to own wish.

# The GATE score card is valid for two years.


As per your question you can appear in the GATE exam many time according to own wish and if you want to take admission in the IIT college for M.Tech course then you need to score above 90% in the GATE examination then you can get a chance for the admission in the any one IIT College.

GATE exam is a entrance exam for M.tech course..
Which is conducted by IIT's and IISC jointly..
The eligibility criteria for GATE exam:-

*One have to complete the bachelor degree in the field of Engineering/Technology/Architecture...
Or,
*One have to complete the post graduation in the field of M.Sc in any science subject/MBA/MCA .....

*One can appear 'N' number of times in GATE exam.
*GATE score is valid for two years..
*One can also appear in GATE exam during the pre-final year or final year of graduation or post graduation...

As you wants to take admission in IIT delhi for M.tech course, then you have to perform well in GATE exam..
To get admission in any IIT's you have to score at least above 90 percentile..
Then you will get a chance to take admission in IIT's..
So , prepare yourself for the GATE exam..

You can attempt the GATE exam as many times as you can as there is no limit for the no: of times.The age factor also is not a matter to attempt it i.e you can attempt it at any age.

But the GATE score card is valid for 2 years.

IIT Delhi or DCE are the best colleges for doing the m.tech course.Thats why there are limited no: of seats are available for the students and They demands the Highest percentage too.So one must have at least 90% above to get the admission in IIT college.

There is no upper limit for giving gate exam .So you can give it as many time you wish.

If you can score above 90 the you can get admission to IIT Delhi or DCE .

Hello friend, graduation aptitude test in engineering(gate) entrance exam for m.tech. The educational qualification is graduation in engineering or master degree in any stream. There is no age limit . Many times you apply for gate. You get above 85%marks means get a seat in iit. All the best

there is no such criteria of max. attempts in GATE examination. You can appear for GATE examination as many time as you want. Age limit is also not a barrier here, A candidate can take exam at any age.

Eligibility : 4 year graduation degree in engineering or pharmacy.

Age limit : No age limit

Validation of GATE Score : 2 years from the announcement of Result

the validity of gate result is two years but why i not appear in third year

First yu need to apply for the gate exam... Coming to the prapartion you have to concentrate more on GATE to get seat in IIT's.... you are going to have gate exam on february month so you have to start your prepartion 3months before or 4months before...... orelse you can go for coaching as you have many coachin centres as you have many coaching centres..... it is a 7month coaching......so it is lil difficult for you to concentrate on gate as you need to ocncentrate on yopu btech also.... so you have to be very carefull.... you have to concentrate on each and every subject....you need to be good in mathematics and yur core subjects.....

Yes,you can get admitted to NIT with 377 score.
You need to check out with the institute as there are many NITs.

sir i want to ask you that whether this 60% marks we have to secure in all semister? OR is it the final marks means 60% marks in engineering.(4th year CGPA)?

actually sir in 1st year...i couldn't score 60% that's why i am asking from you sir. i got 6 CGPA..

there is no limit on the number of attempts.
you can write GATE any number of times.

GATE score card is valid for 2 years.

to get admission in delhi you need to get rank below 100 or you should get 90percentile or above.

Gate is for the engineering aspirants. There is no restriction on the number of attempts and the Score secured by the aspirant is valid for a duration of two years.
The marks secured by the aspirants differ from year to year based on the difficulty level of the paper. And it also depends on the number of aspirants appearing for it. The aspirants can make use of this score to apply for job in public sector units and also in the admission to the masters degree in engineering.
You can not depend on the last years cut off marks for admission to the course as the variation is much high . So prepare well and get good marks in the exam you will surely get the course.

The GATE exam for this year is on 12th Feb,2012 for offline mode.there is no restriction about the number of attempts,you can make as many as you want,but the gate score is valid for 2 years only.


The GATE score if you want ot get IIT delhi is 45+.

Hi dear. You can appear for Gate exam 3times. They have limit the number of attempts now. The score card ypu get is valid for 1 year only. For admission to IITs you need to score rank above 300. All the best. Hope i answered your query.

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and it is regarded as one of the toughest master's exam in the country.

The Basic Eligibility Conditions to apply for the GATE are ::

1. You should be a minimum graduate in B.E/B.Tech, B.Pharmacy or B.Architecture from a recognized college or university.

2. As such no attempt or age limits are imposed for this exam.

3. Final year students may apply, but the pre final year students are not eligible to apply for this exam.



Thus anybody fulfilling the following conditions are eligible to apply for the GATE.

u can get 2 or 3 times as per ur own convinience...........if u r intelligent student can get at a time other wise not in ten times........so u should think about 1 chance only
