As you have already completed your degree program in engineering, to join merchant navy, all you need to do is to complete pre-sea course to apply for the post of junior engineer in merchant navy.
The pre-sea course is offered by many institutes but the best place to pursue the course is LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI COLLEGE OF ADVANCED MARITIME STUDIES AND RESEARCH, MUMBAI.
The duration of the course is around 9-12 months.
