I want to know that what is the last date of application form for ias exams? and what is the exam date of ias exam date?

These are the details of upsc exam
Date of Notification: 19.02.2011
Last Date for Receipt of Applications: 21.03.2011
Date of Exam: 12.06.2011

NOTE:--this year the pattern has been change and Civil Services changed to Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT).In place of the existing Civil Services
(Preliminary) Examination. The CSAT is expected to come into effect from Civil Services Examination, 2011.

It consits of two paper and each paper of Two hrs..


(Paper 1) (200 marks) consists of
Current events.
History
Geography
Indian Polity and governance
Economic and social development
and General science.

(Paper II) (200 marks)
Comprehension
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Decision making and problem solving
General mental ability
Basic numeracy(Class X level)
English language comprehension skills (Class X level)

and remember one thing the syllabus for the exam has changes there is no special subject is available for students..and have general paper for all graduates.

UPSB conduct the civil services examination every year. Graduation in any stream is the minimun qualification for this examination. The advertisement for IAS exam is still to come,it is expected to be announced in the month of feb 2011. The exam dates declared by upsc are as under

Last date of submission of aplication
21-3-2011
Date of exam
12-6-2011

IAS is conducted by the UPSE. The notification of the exam will be on19.02.2011 and the last date to apply is on 21.03.2011. The exam will be held on 12.06.2011. These dates are fixed by the UPSE.

can I Get application form at my home address?

From the coming year i.e from 2011 the pattern of the civil service examination will be changed to CSAT.

The details are as follows

Date of notification will be on 19-02-2011.

Last date of receipt of application is on 21-03-2011.

It means that the application should reach the head office in New Delhi on or before 21-03-2011.

So its better that you send the application 5 days before the last date of receipt of application.

The exam will be held on 12-06-2011.

So,prepare well for the new format.You can get the syllabus at the official website of the UPSC.

You need to be a graduate to apply for IAS. IAS comprises of three levels of exams.
Preliminary( Objective choice) optional papers, general studies
Mains(Subjective type) Optional papers, General Studies, Essay writing, English
Interview

Civil Services Exam, 2010 :-
notification date :- 19.02.2011
last date for applying :- 21.03.2011
exam date :- 12.06.2011

Your general knowledge should be very good,your knowledge about the geographical area and many more thing relating
