RAW [Research Analysis Wing] recruits Senior ranking IPS officers and Military Officers. For this you need to clear either IAS exam and opt for IPS or pass CDS [Combined Defense Services] to become an officer of armed forces. Those officers that perform exceptionally well are sent on deputations to RAW.

I HAVE B COM WITH 50 PERCENT,WHAT PROCEDURE FOR RECURITS IN RAW

Well to Join RAW you need a pass degree certificate from any recognized university and since RAW is under the jurisdiction of the Home Ministry you can apply for this as being a graduate.

Actually, officially there is nothing as RAW. It is the Research and Analysis Wing of the Cabinet Secretariat.
It's higher level officers are drawn from the ranks of police (IPS), defence services as well as allied civil services like the Indian Postal Service and Railway Service.
Initially, all officers are on deputation but they can prefer to join the Reasearch and Analysis Service. If they do so, they have to quit their parent service.
Lower level officers who form the front field staff (the rank of Section Officers, called Field Officers) are recruited through competitive examinations and interviews. The recruitment advertisements do not come as recruitment for R&AW but as Cabinet Secretariat looking for Field Assistants and Field Officers.

here are few ways to join R&AW: 1) U can join through armed forces army, airfore, navy n all the other special forces in it.
2) Through civil services like IPS, IFS n so on.being an IPS officer u can join in CBI, RAW n can remain in state police services.Its ur choice.
3)If u r a civilian u need a high level recommendation, even through u get in u probably find desk jobs. Its better to enter RAW through IPS...so check out UPSC related website for the exams n requirements.U must put a great hard work to pass these exams n interview.

Dear friend,
It's actually R & AW,not RAW.It's headquartered in New Delhi,it was formed after the failure of Intelligence bureau in sino-indian war.Current head is Sanjeev Tripathi who is an IPS officer.

Basically the recruitment is done through National aptitude test in intelligence followed by psychological and physical tests and interview.It has its own cadre R&AW ALLIED SERVICE for absorbing talent from many defense streams.It has its training institute in Gurgaon.

Once selected a recruit is taught about basic intelligence studies and pep talks to increase his standards,he is provided with various case studies from renowned IB like FBI,MI5 etc.After the basic training he is termed into Field intelligence bureau(FIB) where he or she is trained for 1-2 years.Every bit of artificial intelligence techniques are taught to him like interrogation etc etc..Field training is provided in INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY in Dehradun.

Basically top officials in R&AW are IAS,IPS,ARMY OFFICERS who have served more than 20 years.
