Common written examination (CWE) is conducted by IBPS every year for the post of Probationary officer (PO), Clerical cadre, Specialist Officer. IBPS also conduct examinations for RRBs (Rural regional Banks) for selecting candidates for the post of clerk & officer scale. To apply for IBPS Examination, you must have completed your graduation degree course in any discipline with proficiency in computers.

If you are graduate, then you are eligible to apply for IBPS CWE Examination.

The examination is objective with negative marking. From this year onwards, IBPS changed the pattern of Clerical & Probationary officer post. Now, there are two individual papers is conducted by IBPS, one is preliminary examination and other is Main examination.

It means, two-tier examinations is conducted by IBPS for recruitment of PO/MT and Clerks. Those who successfully registered themselves online will be called for Preliminary Examinations. First, you have to clear the preliminary examination, the duration of the preliminary examination is 1 hours and you will get 100 questions of 100 marks.

Those who clear the preliminary examination are eligible for Main examination. The pattern of Main examination is same as previous one.

Note: The marks obtained in the Preliminary examination will not be considered for preparing the final merit list.

~~ Main exam date: 31.10.2015

Clerical Examination-V:

~~ Date of Notification: September/October 2015.
~~ Preliminary exam date: 05.12.2015, 06.12.2015, 12.12.2015, 13.12.2015,
19.12.2015 & 20.12.2015
~~ Main exam date: 03.01.2016

Specialist officer (SO -V):

~~ Date of Notification: November/December 2015
~~ Main Examination date: 30.01.2016 & 31.01.2016

RRB CWE-IV:

~~ Date of Notification: June/July 2015
~~ Main examination date: 05.09.2015, 06.09.2015, 12.09.2015, 13.09.2015, 19.09.2015, 20.09.2015, 26.09.2015 & 27.09.2015

There will be single examination for IBPS RRB & Specialist officer (SO) Post.
