Eligibility for getting admission to the civil engineering course:

The basic eligibility for entering into Bachelor of technology/engineering in civil engineering course is that candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with mathematics, chemistry and physics subjects. The duration of the course is four years and admission to the course is made based on the marks secured by the candidate in the higher secondary examination and in the entrance examination. There is also diploma course in civil engineering and for this course, candidates must have completed their 10th standard. For getting admission to the PG course in civil engineering, candidates must have completed their B.E/B. Tech in civil engineering and they can also take up Ph. D and M. Phil after completion of Master’s degree.

Entrance Examination:

In government colleges, admission to the UG course in civil engineering is done based on national-level entrance examinations like AIEEE, IITJEE and different state-level entrance examinations.

Career Prospects:

Civil Engineers can find placement in all major construction projects carried out by the central and state government organizations like military, railways and public works department. These graduates can also go for research and they can also take up teaching as their profession or they can also do independent consultancy services. They can also join the attractive Indian Engineering Services conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

    i want to take admission in a govt college n i have not appeared in aieee . is there any option to take admission these colleges without appearing in aiee exam now
