Medical College:

Vellore Government Medical College came into existence in the year 2005 and this college is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, the college is permitted to admit 100 students per year for the MBBS course offered. The college is also offering MS and MD courses in different branches of medicine. For seeking admission to the MBBS course offered by this college, candidates must clear the medical entrance examination conducted in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Engineering College:

Thanthai Periyar Government Institute of Technology came into existence in the year 1990 and this institute is affiliated to the Anna University and approved by AICTE. This institute is offering Bachelor of Engineering course in Mechanical, Electronics & Communication and Civil Engineering, while it also offering Master of Engineering course in manufacturing engineering and applied electronics and Master of Computer Applications as well. In addition to these regular courses, the institute is also offering part-time course in B.E Electronics & Communication and Mechanical Engineering.
