Eligibility Criterion Graduate Diploma Courses in NID, Ahmedabad

A pass in 12th class from a recognized board of exam is the basic educational eligibility required for the admission to graduate diploma programmes. Candidates who are more than 20 years old at the time of admission are not eligible to apply. Those who belong to reserved categories can enjoy relaxation in terms of upper age as per the prevailing norms of the institute.

Admission Process for Graduate Diploma Courses in NID, Ahmedabad

Admission to the course is carried out on the basis of national level entrance exam, Design Aptitude Test and personal interview, conducted by the institute. The exam is conducted across various cities of India. There will be questions to evaluate the attitude, aptitude, perception, achievement and motivation of the candidate. Candidates can expect objective as well as descriptive type of questions in the written test. They will be asked to suggest caption to a given theme. Most of the questions will be in thematic test format. Apart from these, candidates will be asked to draw pictures on provided theme or captions.

Candidates who have cleared the entrance test will be short listed for the next level of tests as per their rankings in the entrance exam. Second level of test includes studio test as well as personal interview. Candidates’ interest for the subject and level of knowledge will be evaluated in personal interview.

Application Process for Graduate Diploma Courses in NID, Ahmedabad

Eligible candidates who wish to join National Institute of Design are required to apply in the prescribed application form. Application form can be obtained from selected branches of Bank of India against cash payment of Rs. 1,500/-. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are required to pay Rs. 750/- as examination fees. Apart from this application form can be downloaded from the official website of the institute. Examination fee can be paid by taking Demand Draft from any nationalized banks in favor of ‘National Institute of Design’ payable at Ahmedabad. Fully filled in application form along with details of fee payment should be sent to the institute. Selected candidates will be sent call letter for entrance exam.
