ITBP, IndoTibetan Border Police invites application for the post of Head Constable (Combatised Ministerial). The application form for this exam is available with selected official centers of ITBP and post offices. The date for applying for exam is published in news papers, periodicals as well as in the official website of ITBP.

Instruction to be followed for filling in form

The candidates who are interested can apply for this post. The application form must be filled carefully. Candidates can either fill the form in Hindi or in English. Interested applicants avail the application form from the official website of ITBP. The applicants must either write the application on a plain white paper or type it down. Passport size photograph should be affixed on the application along with the attestation of a Gazetted Officer. The application has to be send to the office of the Inspector General, New Delhi. Other required certificates along with the application form are education certificate, date of birth, schedule caste/schedule tribe/OBC certificate and Domicile certificate.

Exemptions to be taken care while filling in form

Some exceptions are provided for candidates. You need to be aware of them when filling the application form. They are:

• Age limit for applicants are 18 to 25 years
• 5 year age relaxation is provided for SC/ST applicants.
• In the case of OBC candidates, the relaxation provided is by 3 years

There is also 5 year relaxation for the children who lost their parents in 1984 riots and Gujarat communal violence. Provided the applicant produce the death certificate.

There is exemption for ex-serviceman, provided their service must be more than six months in the force.

Schedule tribe Adivasi applicants has an height exemption, 162.5 cm for male and 154 cm for female is only required for ST/Adivasi applicants, where as the standard height required is 165 for male and 155 for female.

Schedule tribe and Adivasi can also avail the relaxation in chest measurement which is 76 cm unexpandable and 81 cm expandable against the standard requirement of 77 cm and 82 cm respectively.

The application fee is common. Rs. 50 is the application fee.

Last date for receipt of applications

The application forms must be sent to the official address of ITBP, New Delhi. The last date is 14th July, 2011 for all states. Some northeastern states, Andaman and Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep are exempted. The last date for these applicants is 21st July 2011.

Acknowledgement of exam application form

The applicants have to send the admit card along with the application. The admit card must be clearly filled and attested by a Gazetted Officer. Passport size photograph must be affixed on the admit card. The ITBP authority will send the admit card to the candidates as acknowledgement of exam application form.
